There are several organizations that have walks and promote walking as an
activity.  Here is a brief description of some walking groups with links to websites or information on how to contact them.



Cedar Milers - Based in Beaverton, this group hosts several walking events each year. 
Affiliated with the American Volkssport Association.


Columbia River Volkssport Club - Organizes quality non-competitive walking events in scenic and historic areas.
 

East County Wind Walkers - Based in Gresham, this group hosts eleven year-round walking events.  Affiliated with the American Volkssport Association.


Mazamas, Street Rambles - This organization of hikers offers twice weekly walks in Portland, departing from the  REI store at NW 14th and Johnson.


Portland Walking Routes - A website with a collection of walking routes, designed to help people discover Portland.


Racewalkers Northwest - An organization dedicated to physical fitness through safe, systematic training and mental fitness through competition.  All ages and racewalking abilities welcome.


Rose City Roamers - Promote health and fitness through participation in various non-competitive sports, including walking.  Sponsor of year round walking events.  Member of the Oregon Trail State Volkssport Association.


Southwest Trails Group - A committee of Southwest Neighborhoods, Inc. that has group walks leaving from the Hillsdale neighborhood.


The Willamette Wanderers - Based in Salem, a club dedicated to walking for exercise and pleasure.
Member of the Oregon Trail State Volkssport Association. 


Wonders of Walking - For walkers for all levels, motivations, skills and goals to come together to motivate and support each other, and have fun.
